Хедеры при рассмотрении пару лет назад показались сильно большим
уродством, чем base/; плюс эта штука тоже древняя и подозреваю,
что с тех пор много что придумали как решать лучше. (конкретно
вопрос по biarch для меня сейчас открыт)
Общее же мнение сложилось при рассмотрении, когда пытался
прикрутить yum из ASP7.3 к серверу на RH7.3, пока не понял,
что перетащить по-горячему на ALM2.2 будет быстрее и лучше.
