Вот это верный признак того, что скоро Вы его спалите :).
Предлагаю поправить /etc/X11/XF86Config:
--- >% ---
Section Monitor
...
HorizSync 31.5
VertRefresh 60
...

и добиться нормальной картинки. Затем, увеличивая эти цифры,
найти предельные, уменьшить на 10% .
