Читать нужно внимательно, тогда не будет путаницы.
Samba 4 содержит несколько компонент, одна из которых -- реализация
контроллера домена, совместимого с Windows AD DC. Эта функциональность
дополнительна по отношению к уже имеющейся и реализована отдельным
режимом, который в сборке в ALT Linux (и в Fedora) отключен. В этом
отдельном режиме поддержки OpenLDAP нет.
Поскольку этот режим отсутствует в сборке в ALT Linux, то о нем и
говорить не нужно. В оставшихся режимах Samba 4 ведет себя как
предыдущие версии, плюс реализация протокола SMB3.
