С переходом на xorg-server-1.10 мы лишились одного из legacy
комплектов драйверов nvidia. Раньше их (legacy) было два, теперь один.
Самый старый не поддерживает нового ABI. Это нормально, совместимость
по дороге вперед, увы, теряется. Кто хочет ее сохранить, задерживается
на старом системном софте или переходит на более универсальные
свободные драйверы. Кстати, качество nouveau растет за счет "ядерной"
компоненты.
