У Вас splash 2 раза в строке. И попробуйте убрать параметр vga из
командной строки и поставить нужное Вам разрешение в GRUB_GFXMODE.
Потом конфиг обновите командой grub-mkconfig, как на вики. Какая у
Вас видеокарта, кстати?
