В новой версии теперь нужно получать разрешение от PolicyKit прежде
чем разрешать пользователю засыпать систему.
Попробуйте выполнить powersave -U/-u из консоли. Он будет ругаться на
недостаток прав. Если это оно - надо через полисикит выдать
пользователю нужные права.
Также теперь вроде как могуть использоваться скрипты hibernate. И
проблема с засыпанием может спрятаться именно там. Попробуйте
позасыпать через hibernate.
