Что значит откровенно непригодный? Я каких-то особых проблем не замечал
ни с адаптером от NVidia, ни от Intel. Другое дело, что на NVidia
используется драйвер nouveau. Если вдруг проблема только с
проприетарными блобами от NVidia и AMD, то разве xorg в этом виноват?
Другое дело, что пока основные производители видеоплат не исправят свои
драйверы нельзя использовать эту версию xorg для разработки
дистрибутивов. Так никто и не использует.

Выбран для чего? А если надо готовить свои программы для переезда на
11.1 (или уже даже на 11.2), то где брать xorg этой версии? Самому собирать?
