Алексей, скажите пожалуйста, а Вы тестировали работу чистого OpenBox?
Что у Вас запускалось в качестве запускалки приложений?
Я тестировал чистый ob + gmrun и у меня не воспроизвелось.

Я это к чему? Я это к тому, что если брать lxde, то есть подозрение, что
lxpanel нужно дописывать, ведь с ней бага воспроизводится.
К слову, она воспроизводиться и в lubuntu. Главное найти виновного, но у
меня ощущение, что ob тут ни при чем, поэтому его стоит отправить как
минимум в сизиф.
