Новый модуль в Сизифе: python-module-byteplay
Это не просто дизассемблер байткода питона, но и реассемблер. Код можно
как создавать с нуля, так и -- внимание -- править существующий,
оптимизируя по своему усмотрению.
Этот модуль не всегда именно _нужен_, но, безусловно, очень интересен.

Обновления:
python-module-py9p
Протокол 9P, клиентская и серверная части. С сервером 9P можно работать
как через обычный mount -t 9p, так и через fuse или даже вовсе ixpc.
Протокол 9P позволяет очень просто экспортировать любую информацию в
виде файлов, создавая композитные ФС.

python-module-cxnet
Заголовки и простейшие имплементации arp, ipv4, tcp для питона -- можно
использовать вместе с libpcap для низкоуровневой работы с сетью. А также
всё более полная имплементация netlink -
* generic netlink, это просто нетлинк как таковой
* rtnetlink, работа с сетевой подсистемой ядра -- интерфейсы, адреса,
маршруты, классы...
* ipq -- юзерспейсная часть для iptables -j QUEUE
* taskstats -- профилирование системы, обширная ядерная статистика по
процессам
