На днях Дамир сообщил в этой рассылке, что у него заработал драйвер avivo с его ATI x1400.
У меня такой же ноутбук, как у него (Dell Inspiron 6400), только матрица другая (1280x800).
У меня как не работал корректно, так и не работает. На экране мерцание небольшое, плывущие разводы, неправильно отображаются цвета. Очень похоже на ситуацию, когда на 14"-мониторе ставили сильно высокое разрешение. Перепробовал уже все, vga=normal, отключал и включал все подряд в xorg (no_accel, no_dri и т.п), конфиг Дамира уже взял (такой же, как у меня он оказался). Перерыл весь гугль и рассылки и не могу найти, в чем причина.
В Xorg.0.log вижу из полезного только это:

Меня этот фрейм-буфер смущает. Или это нормально? Что может быть и где искать проблему - неизвестно :(
p.s. modeline уже за давностью лет забыл, как читать. все в порядке в нём?
