Было что-то очень похожее. Писал по этому поводу в hardware@:
"Купил тут за 130р. в магазине "Метро" мышку PS/2 оптическую, Defender,
три кнопки + колесико + 2 кнопки по бокам. Под вин работает, правда
иногда курсор сам собой начинает ползти по экрану.
А сегодня попытался загрузиться в Линукс (Сизиф летний). mousescan мышу
опознает на /dev/input/mouse0 как ImExPs/2, gpm/иксы грузятся, но
работают только кнопки. Диод гаснет и больше не зажигается никогда. Даже
при перезагрузке в виндовз. Помогает только выключение питания. При
перевтыкании мышки диод загорается и горит до тех пор, пока не
попытаешься им воспользоваться.
