Оно вам надо? Это в принципе тот же софтовый рейд... Единственное, когда
нужно бывает использовать такие вещи в линуксе - это когда есть уже
существующий массив, который желательно, допустим, использовать вместе с
другими операционными системами. А так - при отсутствии подобных
отягчающих обстоятельств - везде рекомендуется использовать софтверный
рейд и не мучаться... То же касается большинства остальных дешевых
рейд-контроллеров - Promise, SI 3112, 3114 и т.п...
