Не знаю, у меня прекрасно работает сервер с DWL-G520+ на 2.4.29 ядре
уже как пол года, проблем не наблюдалось, разве что пару раз вылетало
сообщение о превышении мощности и приходилось перезагружать драйвер.
Проверьте, то ли firmware вы скопировали, и скопировали ли его всё.

# modprobe acx_pci
или в /etc/modules.conf alias wlan0 acx_pci
Крайне советую Вам перечитать документацию и включить дебаг, возможно
проблема всплывёт.
