Так ведь Вы рекомендовали удалить!
Вообщем мы запутались. Вот как было.
Сначала появились дубликаты таких пунктов меню как "Центр настройки",
"Принтеры" и т.д. (но не самих папок типа "Игры", "Мультимедиа").
Вы порекомендовали сделать:
Удалить файл /etc/menu-methods/kde-desktop-entry-spec-apps
Запустить
update-menus -Nv
из-под root.
Если существует файл ~/.menu-updates.stamp, то запустить
update-menus -Nv
из-под пользователя.
Из-под пользователя c дублирующимися меню запустить
kbuildsycoca
Это помогло и стало все нормально.
Затем вот в понедельник обновился и пропали иконки и русский перевод для
таких групп меню как "Office", "System" и т.д. ("Принтеры", "Центр
настройки КДЕ" и т.д. есть) + в kcontrol исчезли все пункты.
Т.о. файла /etc/menu-methods/kde-desktop-entry-spec-apps во время
второго обновления уже небыло.
