Добрый день!
После недавнего переезда на xorg проявились
странные проблемы с шрифтами. Заметил не сразу,
т.к. в основном пользуюсь KDE и как-раз в нём
ничего неприятного не заметно.
Сначала обнаружил, что xfontsel/xlsfonts не видят
True-Type шрифтов. Ну нет там arial, comic и т.п.
как класса. При этом шрифты установлены,
прописаны в /etc/X11/fs/config и прекрасно работают
в KDE. Но это не всё - оказалось, что не видны
и растровые шрифты семейства cyr_rfx.
Последствия для программ "старого" стиля довольно
тяжелые. Открвываем диалог выбора шрифтов в motif
приложении nedit и видим очень короткий список -
courier в koi8-r и cp1251 просто отсутствуют.
В tcl/tk приложениях невозможно выбрать шрифт
arial - вместо него выдирается что-то чудовищное,
что обычно tcl/tk выбирало по умолчанию, когда
font family не указан явно.
Что делать и кто виноват? Ковырять /etc/fonts?
Но что именно? Особенно удивляет отсутствие
cyr_rfx шрифтов.
