лучше использовать classic - это все ветки вместе.
master - то что должно попасть в след. дистр ALT Linux Master.
Теоретически оно самое поддерживаемое.
junior - аналогично
contrib - неподдерживаемое в дистрибутивах.
kernel - ядро
и т.д.
