Только что заметил, что после последних обновлений
(сизиф от 20.12.01) принтер HP LJ 6L перестал
печатеть русские текстовые файлы. Точнее они стали
печататься "скндинавскими" кракозябрами.
Я использую драйвер foomatic+lj4 из cups-drivers
и ранее печать русского работала нормально.
Такое впечатление, что сейчас печать текста стала
идти напрямую в принтер, а не через GS.
Fontmap у меня указывает на Fontmap.cyrillic.
Никакого отличия в .ppd файле по сравнению
с тем, который стоял у меня ранее я не вижу.
М.б. что-нибудь изменилось в /etc/cups/mime.* ?
И ещё сопутствующий вопрос. Я исользую
cups-drivers, но есть ещё конфликтующий
с этими драйверами пакет foomatic.
Кто-нибудь может сказать что-нибудь о
достоинствах/недостатках этих
драйверов?
