Вероятно, тут имелся в виду git.
На самом деле, у подхода с упаковыванием медиа-контента в rpm есть
один существенный минус - принципиально нельзя получить один
конкретный файл без скачивания всего пакета.
Даже если я большой любитель Балтики/Бали/Бермуд/чего-нибудь еще,
врядли я буду качать rpm на 100Mb только чтобы организоваться себе
красивый рабочий стол. А без возможности предпросмотра вероятность
этого вообще стремится к нулю.
На мой взгляд, при таком уж желании видеть доступный для скачивания
медиа-контент, стоило бы вести речь о <strike>файлопомойке</strike>
медиахранилище. Правда, каким боком тут сизиф не особо понятно))
