Как вариант, с образа по ссылке выше -- x86_64 заодно умеет UEFI
(NB: дуалбут ещё не тестировался, авторазбивка может снести
существующий ESP -- так что если уже что-то есть, стоит разбивать
вручную и убедиться, что этот раздел не форматируется, а ещё
лучше забэкапить его содержимое).

В текущих сборках MATE, а в 20121130 вроде бы ещё GNOME3 был.
