Сегодня обнаружил, что строка вида
grub-install hd0
не работает (в man она описана) с ошибкой "не найдено устройство", а в виде
grub-install '(hd0)'
всё работает без ошибок. При этом файл /boot/grub/device.map есть и он
правильный (проверил специально).
В файле /etc/sysconfig/grub2 нет параметров GRUB_AUTOUPDATE_DEVICES (пусть хотя
бы пустой будет) и GRUB_PRELOAD_MODULES. Почему нельзя поставить свои цвета
меню GRUB даже если нет фоновой картинки? Сейчас файл /etc/grub.d/05_altlinux-
theme мне этого не позволяет сделать. Править этот файл как-то не тру, а
другого способа вколошматить своё желание без необходимости постоянной
проверки желания нет.
