Если конкретно в синаптике хотите что-то делать, то здесь я не силён.
Я всё настраиваю через консоль в /etc/apt/sources.list.d
Вот один из вариантов (для i586):
# ALT Linux Sisyphus
#rpm [alt] ftp://ftp.altlinux.org/pub/distributions/ALTLinux/Sisyphus i586 classic
#rpm [alt] ftp://ftp.altlinux.org/pub/distributions/ALTLinux/Sisyphus noarch classic
Дальше стандартно. Но сейчас уже не факт, что команда "apt-get dist-upgrade"
сможет вас перебросить в Сизиф. Возможно, потребуется качать срез Сизифа к себе
и замещать пакеты командой rpm с параметром "--nodeps".
То есть муторно и неудобно. Будьте готовы к этому. И с каждым днём всё больше
будет проблем с переходом.
