Насколько я помню, с сайта NVidia скачивается установщик, который запускаете.
Он сам все шаги сделает: сборку модуля ядра, прописывание его в системе,
подключение нужных библиотек, правка конфигов. Только зачем? В ALTLinux
есть всё необходимое: и библиотеки NVidia, и собранные модули ядра, и и
модули для Xorg, настройка библиотек. Останется только вписать
Module "nvidia" в нужном месте xorg.conf.
