У меня были другие -- оказалось, в 1.4 по умолчанию включается
Composite, а я не дотумкал и в третий раз, что если wdm падает,
а wmaker жутко глючит -- то это ОНО.
Тоже выяснили вместе с Валерой.
Пришлось в xorg.conf забить в явном виде:
Section "Extensions"
Option "Composite" "false"
EndSection
Заодно выяснилось, что отваливание [части] 2D-ускорения на "ati"
и Radeon Mobility 7000 после использования GLX проще
воспроизводится, если включить в Section "Screen"
Option "XaaNoOffscreenPixmaps".

Всё-таки новые иксы лучше тестировать дольше нескольких дней,
апстрим не из надёжных по части неломания чего-нить странного...
жаль, что пропустил анонс в начале недели.
