Скорее не с ним, а с принтером. Пинг и telnet на порт не означает возможности
нормально соединиться с ним по протоколу печати.
По крайней мере, я наблюдал именно такие проблемы на Epson 2025N,
в этом случае иногда требовалось перезагрузить принтер (включить и выключить).
9100 это протокол lpd? Возможно принтер поддерживает нормальную работу и по ipp.
Ходят также слухи, что некоторые модели принтеров от Epson имеют ошибки в firmware и из-за этого нормально
печатают только на одном из возможных вариантов.
