Это скорее выбор. Если останавливать то, что отвечает за уже
созданные ноды, то будет болезненная реакция среди тех, кто
в них надеялся писать (например, syslogd).
Мне кажется, облом обновления одного пакета при условии внятного
объяснения с рекомендацией приемлем более, чем шибко умный пакет.
Поскольку никогда не знаешь заранее, что отвалится.
