От себя добавлю: mplayer из Daedalus должен работать и с polypaudio из
Sisyphus, и с pulseaudio из Daedalus. Формально он собран с libpolyp.so.0,
которая, в свою очередь, предоставляется пакетом libpulseaudio (сборка в
Daedalus) в виде ссылки на libpulse.so.0
