EVMS больше LVM (достаточно того, что первое умеет второе).

Resize блокдевайса и ресайз ФС; не пробовал, но не исключено,
что EVMS при ресайзе сделает и то, и то (посмотри в evmsgui
список плагинов, например).

Если что, у меня специфическая исошка, которая делает систему
со "всем на EVMS", найдётся в старых запасах. Но там был сильно
патченый mkinitrd (над которым порядком махали напильниками
ulfr@, tibor@, tren@, week@, ed@ и ещё народ).
