Спамом в логах вас *не* завалят (вынужден сообщить, что скрипты написаны
по уму).  Отвалит на первом же симлнике, который не удалось проставить.
Вы можете перемонтировать /usr в rw в удобное для вас время и запустить
cronjob.

Увы.  В данном случае актуальнее "shareable", т.к. симлинки смотрят в
локальный /var.  Но это про /usr, а не /usr/local.  /usr может быть
shareable по сети, а /usr/local -- локальным оверлеем на машине.
