Многие давно хотели mc + UTF8. И никак не могли понять, почему же этого mc
всё нет и нет. Тогда я и отвечал, что _будут_ проблемы с однобайтовыми кодировками.
А сейчас уже UTF8 назрел.
В последней сборке mc багу с xterm зафиксил. Может, временно стоит собирать два mc?
:) И взависимости от локали запускать тот или иной.
