Может нужно /dev/cdroms/cdwriter1 ?
Потому как у меня udev (или hotplug) при любой перезагрузке системы делает
ссылку /dev/cdrom -> /dev/cdroms/cdwriter0, хотя cdwriter0 - это у меня
DVD-RW, а CDROM - cdwriter1 (кстати, почему writer?). При этом делается также
ссылка /dev/dvd -> /dev/cdroms/cdwriter0. Понятно, что можно в /etc/auto.tab
(я по-старинке autofs пользуюсь) явно прописать /dev/cdroms/cdwriter1
вместо /dev/cdrom, но... не нравится мне это:)
