Сделал. Собрал. Получил пакет
kernel-modules-vmware-std26-up-update89-alt0.1.i586.rpm
Установил его. Перезапускаю службу vmware:
[root@p4 misc]# service vmware restart

Хорошо. Удаляю файл /etc/vmware/not_configured и пробую перезапустить службу,
ничего не выходит. В логах ругань:

Не совсем понятно зачем vware ищёт vmmon.o, в то воремя как необходимо грузить
vmmon.ko ? Хорошо идём обходным путём. Создаю симлинк vmmon.o на vmmon.ko и второй
симлинк. О! Служба запустилась. Бред!!! :-(
2ALT Linux Team: и ещё -- народ, ну, до каких пор VMware будет валиться в тот момент,
когда в конфигурации виртуальной машины пытаешься открыть файл??!! Почему в других Linux'ах (наример,
в Gentoo Linux, но я могу проверить и под другими наиболее употребительными "осями") VMware
ведёт себя как положено и не приходится (извините за прямоту) ТРАХАТЬСЯ с
настройкой и пересборкой модулей? Опять альт-специфик? :-( Достало, честное слово.
