Достаточно одного лиса, а каталог по-умолчанию
принять /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins

Какая разниться, как он называется?
Главное, что он уже давно есть и постоянен,
в отличии от других дистрибутивов и того же Firefox.

Не оба, а четыре.
Opera и Konqueror забыли (с ними правда тривиально исправляется)
Я предлагаю исправить Firefox и не делать никаких дополнительных
проблем.
