Вот что заметил в результате раскопок: дома машина работает на fsb
100Mhz заместо номинальных 133, что сильно бьёт по производительности.
Начал разбираться, в чём разыта свинья, и вот в чём: если довести до
133, то часть программ сыпется по segfault, часть по непонятно чему
(ядро 2.4.25), а на ядре 2.6.5 -- даже не скажу, само ядро сыпется с
паником.
Единственное, когда нормально работало -- 2.6.4, пересобранное под
athlon. Но, блин, 2.6.5, видимо по моему недосмотру, встало вместо
2.6.4, и вот -- снова живу на fsb 100.
Наблюдения: если отключить apic в биосе, то на fsb 133 и 2.4.25..athlon
сыпется только konqueror (из замеченного), причём выносит с собой иксы.
2.6.5 никак не работает на 133, и никакая пересборка не помогает.
Машина -- soltek на nForce2, athlon xp 2000 (~1670 номинальных и ~1260
у меня), память PC2700.
