Это вы не внимательно обновлялись.
Ошибка "No initab file found" означает что при обновлении
удалился пакет startup
Скорее всего вслед за startup ушли
mingetty
net-scripts
Вам необходимо загрузится с CD в rescue режиме, либо
прописать при загрузки ядра параметр init=/bin/sh
После гагрузки вам необходимо установить описанные выше
пакеты, ну и то что они за собой потянут.
