Здравствуйте.
АААА! только что заметил, что это писбмо хотел послать сюда, а послал в
community. %( придется исправить...
Обнаружил такую вещь: в образе compact-20030910 нет модуля hpt37x2.o, из-за
чего не могу заставить работать этот самый HPT 370/372.
В мастере 2.2 этот модуль был, и собран, ессно, как раз под ядро мастера, так
что даже при проблемах с инсталлятором (опишу потом), можно было быстро
сделать mkinitrd бла-бла-бла, и после пары пассов можно уже было работать на
RAID.
тут же у меня качается сейчас 30 метров kernel-sources, потом еще
девелоперский пакет с компиляторами придется качать... а модуль-то всего 77
кб в оригинале ;)
Причем путает еще то, что в модулях есть hptraid.o, но это, видимо, поддержка
HPT366, которую давно пора выкинуть:
If you are using HPT370/370A/372 controller and the kernel contains
built-in IDE support for HPT366 chipset, you must update the kernel
before using this driver. There is no need to do this if you're using
HPT372A controller.
To remove HPT366 support, just remove the following 2 lines
{DEVID_HPT34X, "HPT34X", PCI_HPT34X, NULL, ...
{DEVID_HPT366, "HPT366", PCI_HPT366, ATA66_HPT366, ...
in "ide-pci.c" (under "drivers/ide" in 2.4 kernel, "drivers/block"
in 2.2 kernel), and then rebuild and install the new kernel.
Потому что HPT366 сейчас уже, наверно, ни у кого не используются.
так же обнаружил то, что в образ не вошел пакет iptables, что тоже странно -
достаточно основная вещь-то, вроде (144 кб), и еще бы в подобных образах
хотелось бы увидеть openssh-server (188 кб) ;)
