Не знаю как у вас, но у меня такая ошибка была из-за того, что криво
становился пакет kernel-headers-common. В папке /etc/sysconfig у
меня находился симлинк kernel (возможно он там появился благодоря
моим шаловливым рукам - уже не помню) и этот пакет не мог создать
папку с тиким же именем...
