Ну это чем ты будешь инсталлять.
IADM если с CDROM-а, то там вроде модуль должен подняться сам.
Я инсталял с FTP-сервера, так что пришлось маленько изменить образ
загрузочной дискеты ;)
Если что - в консоле рученьками подымешь.
Но вот использовать /dev/ataraid/d*p* ты не смогёшь :(
Можешь гонять диски как обычные на дополнительном IDE.
Они будут где-то hde, hdf, hdg, ...
Тока возможно что ядру надо будет параметры кинуть.
Что-то типа
Kernel command line: rw root=/dev/hde1 vga=788 idebus=66 ide2=0xdff0,0xdfe6
ide3=0xdfa8,0xdfe2
Посмотри в /proc/pci что-то типа
Bus 2, device 14, function 0:

IRQ 6.

Формула расчета портов для передачи ядру

по своему опыту - если что не так - попробуй убрать параметр IRQn ;)
