Доброе время суток!
Появились несколько, возможно взаимосвязанных, проблем:
1. Хочу запустить aRtsd с приоритетом реального времени, выставляю нужные
опции, но artscontrol говорит, что он (aRtsd) "должен работать с приоритетом
реального времени, но работает с более низким приоритетом, возможно, что у
artswrapper не выставлен suid root". Смотрю... действительно, suid-бит не
установлен - исправляю, после делаю restart KDE - aRts вообще не запускается.
2. aRtsd - запущен (без приоритета реального времени), XMMS, или Noatun
какой-нибудь, играет музыку. Так вот, если при этом пользовать еще другие
приложения, ну, не знаю, Kmail - например, в которых и работаешь-то
не очень активно (в Kmail - переход от письма к письму), звук начинает
рваться.
В чем грабли?
ЗЫ: машинка-то не из слабых (PIII-650, 256 RAM, SB Live)
