Что-то мне совсем не везет с pppd на последнем ядре.
Вот тут еще одну проблему обнаружил. Если звонить с линуксовой
машины на другую линуксовую тачку (на обоих наисвежайший Сизиф),
то иногда возникает такая ситуация, то перестают передаваться
данные.
Грешил на модемную линию (у меня система временнОго уплотнения,
штука пострашнее АВУ :( ). Но раньше проблемы с линией
отслешивались через выставление в /etc/ppp/options
lcp-echo-interval 30
lcp-echo-failure 4
Если на линии фигня - делался реконнект.
Сейчас же, когда затыкается передача данных, проверочные ICMP
посылки как ни в чем не было, нормально проходят, и pppd считает,
что все Ok.
В логах совершенно никакой ругани на этот счет.
Для обоих машин справедливо:
kernel24-up-2.4.20-alt0.8
ppp-2.4.1-alt8
