Ну знаешь. "gtk theme switcher" -- и можно было жать "I'm
lucky", если б оно на fm было. ;]

PS: сейчас испробую.
...раз: при отсутствии ~/.gtkrc падает коркой. touch ~/.gtkrc
...два: он туда вписал include .../G-B-R/gtkrc, ничего не изменилось.
...три: контрольный grip неоднократно жаловался на libpixmap.so.
apt-get install gtk-engines поставил gtk-engines-default (который
Obsoletes: gtk-engines).
Выдрал из ALM2 gtk-engines-0.12-alt1.i586.rpm, поставил -- и
счастье почти наступило. "Почти" -- потому что "новые"
gtk-engines все же Obsoletes "старые", хотя и не заменяют их
функционально.
Выводы:
- #1771;
- я сейчас попробую завернуть rico_GTK-Theme-Selector и
профиксить его на случай отсутствия ~/.gtkrc.
