Какая у вас система, и какой пакет lyx вы установили?
Что говорит $ uname -a ; rpm -q lyx
Я так понимаю ту версию которую вы установили, пересобрали с
новым xforms, возможно там проблемы из-за этого. Пока могу
рекомендовать откатиться назад с версией или немного подождать
новой сборки.
