Есть такая буква (WM) -- кажется, у "свежего" пользователя не
наблюдалось, а меня начало доставать примерно с 1.25--1.27: оно
где-то пыталось вывесить левый верхний угол окна в (-1,-1),
наверное -- в итоге окно (которое было в фокусе, но невидимым) не
появлялось до шотката "Maximize". Бубен в виде приказа WM
максимизировать его при старте почему-то (не помню) не был
признан эффективным.
В 2.0 это пофиксено и кое-что по мелочам сделано более приятно --
например, он как-то более интерактивно выглядит, обновляя данные
не методично ("как танк" :) каждые две секунды, а по мере прихода
пакетов (NB: все тот же диалап -- верю, что на p100 с 2mbit и
старыми иксами/видеокартой эта оперативность может пригнуть к
земле иксы ;).
