У меня попытка обновить galeon поначалу закончилась совершенно
так же, неудачным исходом. Сейчас я проследил по истории, далее
было сделано следующее:
apt-get install galeon mozilla netscape-common
и установлены при этом все зависимые пакеты, какие apt предложил.
Так что всё получилось. Netscape тут, конечно, ни при чём, но из
песни слов не выкинешь :-).
