Если уже готовые rpm-файлы от rpm3 будут читаться и под rpm4,
а изменится только формат базы (с которой смогут работать новые apt и т.д.),
то я за.
А какие вообще шаги требуются для перехода с rpm3 на rpm4?
(Был печальный опыт обратного перехода, когда я потерял все базы :)),
так что я теперь осторожен :)
