Там немного изменили алгоритм определения нужного глифа и
научились учитывать кодировку словаря (это, возможно, было и
раньше, но я не замечал).
Завтра я выложу новый abisuite-cp1251, а пока workaround:
-- в /usr/share/abisuite/AbiSuite/fonts/CP1251/fonts,dir замените
microsoft-cp1251 на adobe-fontspecific
-- установите словарь ispell-russian и пакет abisuite-koi8
Что касается падений, то это, действительно, -- к разработчикам.
