У меня нет внутренней уверенности, что XFree 4.1.0 работает
правильно в смысле DRI:)
Я ставил так: скачал .src.rpm ядра и собрал его. Установил все
получившиеся пакеты, включая *.source.
После этого начались попытки собрать XFree86 4.1.0...src.rpm и
Mesa...src.rpm из Сизифа. Недостающие для сборки пакеты
устанавливались apt-get. После правки spec-файла, связанной с
отсутствием в моей системе макросов _x11*, все собралось и
установилось. Но осталось сообщение об отсутствии RENDER (карта
ASUS V-3800, TNT2) и кое-что еще.
Внимание, вопрос:)
Есть ли смысл пересобрать ядро и/или XF86 для того, чтобы все
заработало -- тут мелькала информация, что, например, при сборке
ядра при отсутствии в системе XF86 4.1.0 модули DRI берутся
"ядерные", которые после будут работать не лучшим образом?
Что по поводу родных драйверов nvidia и xf86 4.1.x?
