Кстати, вот только что проверил, действительно выдает пустой каталог, но если нажать Ctrl-R - все встает на место. mc 4.5.42 (знаю, что старый, но в новых такая сортировка имен файлов, что просто ужас).
И, кстати, еще по поводу mc: в той версии, что в Appendix, при заходе в RPM выдает CONTENTS.cpio.gz и дальше используется VFS для cpio. В результате права и владельцы файлов отображаются не те, которые получатся после установки (как поставлено в %attr/%defattr при сборке), а те, которые были в BuildRoot. IMHO, совершенно неправильно. К тому же используется куча места в /tmp для распаковки этого cpio.
