Нужно указать роль в качестве параметра (и сконфигурировать её).

пока что только комментарии в примерах конфигурационных файлов
(в /usr/share/doc). До нормальной документации пока ручки не добрались.
Из неописанного-необходимого: в конфиг камеры-объекта в секцию [main]
нужно добавить параметр active=1.

Да, у меня заработали эти и http://hawell.ru/products/HW-216Q9.html
(гораздо хуже по качеству, со специально собранным модулем). К
сожалению, сейчас уже не продаётся PCI-e ориентов.
