Ищи его в /dev/[n]st0.
/dev/nst0 без режима перемотки на начало.
/dev/st0 с перемоткой на начало.
Например,
star -tvf /dev/st0 Сдержимое
star -cv list=файл_со_списком_чего_надо_залить_на_ленту
f=/dev/st0 Запись
star -xpf /dev/st0 Чтение
