Вообщем опять отвечаю сам себе:
Попробовал с RH'овским ядром - все ОК. Еще раз пересмотрел свой патч -
проблем там не нашел и патч и ядро и модуль работает нормально и не
падает. Похоже проблемы в др. модулях от win4lin, которые идут не в
сырцах. Они правда тоже не падают, но сама win4lin при взоимодействии с
ними работает крайне нестабильно.
Отсюда вывод (мой): С alt ядром видимо действительно поддержка win4lin
не получится. Модули у них, как и сама программа - крайне не
разговорчивые и диагностики никакой не пишут. Возможно в будущем, когда
в alt появится какое-нибудь стабильное ядро, принятое к использованию в
одном из дистрибутивов от alt, попробую собрать для него это чудо и при
хороших результатах, пошлю сюда патчи. Хотя опять же на мой взгляд,
поддержка win4lin в ядре от alt была бы очень не лишней.
